it was my favorite

I read this poem so many times when I was little. We had a quaint little orange book filled with poetry. It still sits on the bookcase in the den. I could probably say this one frontwards, sdrawkcab and ǝpısdn uʍop...
In honor of the weather today :)

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you;
But when the leaves hang trembling
The wind is passing through

Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I,
But when the trees bow down their heads
The wind is passing by.

{oh how I love the rain...}

I hear leaves drinking rain;
I hear rich leaves on top
Giving the poor beneath
Drop after drop;
‘Tis a sweet noise to hear
These green leaves drinking near.

And when the Sun comes out,
After this Rain shall stop,
A wondrous Light will fill
Each dark, round drop;
I hope the Sun shines bright;
‘Twill be a lovely sight.

I love the rain.
Its been raining all week
(well, when I say all week, I mean about ten minute downpours a few times each day... its Idaho)

Let the rain kiss you.
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk.
The rain makes running pools in the gutter.
the rain plays a little sleep-song on our roof at night -
And I love the rain.
